Library Media Center
Each grade level has specific curriculum taught to them at the media center. Each class visits the media center on a regular basis (once every five cycle days) for stories, skills and check out time.
Music
Greenleaf is proud to be able to bring music to all of our students! Music is an important part of life and research shows that listening to music on a regular basis can help improve intelligence and brain function.
We encourage children to sing, learning songs from all over the world. Students get to explore different musical instruments and different genres of music.
Local Music Events
Here are some free or inexpensive concert opportunities for you and your family in the greater Twin Cities area.
Physical Education
The Physical Education Staff at Greenleaf would like to express their appreciation to the community for their continued support in promoting physical fitness. We believe that with your help we can improve the quality of life for your children, as well as yourselves through physical activity.
Students participate in a wide variety of physical education activities throughout the school year, such as rock-wall climbing, snowshoeing, and volleyball!
Technology
Greenleaf uses innovative, educational technology to create projects that enhance classroom learning. This includes not only work in the computer lab, but also the use of mobile classroom carts containing iPads, MacAirs and Chromebooks. These mobile classroom carts are also available for classroom teacher checkout.
Students in grades 1-5 work in Collab, a District 196 online learning portal (Google Apps). Collab is used by students to create, edit, and share projects with teachers and peers. With teacher permission, students can login to their Collab account at home.
